So, I figured what the hell, why not take the opportunity to snap some more winter shots of the kids...
Lola romping...
Teutul doing his thing...
Zeus wondering where all of his birdie friends are this morning...
Sophie, the snow Princess... she really despised the weekend mud and was happy to see white stuff back on the ground!
You can see just how hard it was coming down by all the spots in the pictures... the wet, icky, stick-to-your-wool-hat-and-scarf kinda snow. It resulted in my normal 15-20 minute commute to work turning into 1 hour, 20 minutes! Ugh.
At least the weekend was nice, right? We celebrated Zeus' 8th birthday on Saturday (pictures coming on Thursday for our weekly DOT post) and relaxed at home. Yesterday, after Matt's two racing meetings, we stopped at The Healthy Buffalo to pick up some yummies. This time we grabbed another Elk roast (still the most tender red meat I've had), Wild Boar bacon (which we have been told is the best), Buffalo steaks, and Buffalo polish sausage. They had samples of kanagroo rump roast, which was actually pretty good, but Matt didn't like it as much.
I managed some knitting time and do have a FO from the weekend ... part 2 of Emma's First Hats. Since the first one came out super tiny, I cast on #2 going up a size in needles. This resulted in a bigger (still tiny/preemie size) hat that I think she'll get more wear out of.
I managed to get both hats out of the 1 skein of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino and still have a tiny amount left (enough to use as the contrast color on the slippers & socks in the DB baby book I have, which are already marked with post-its, along with an adorable shrug).
That's it for today... hopefully you are sprining forward better than we are...

Look at that darling boy in the snow... The other dogs are cute too, but you know...
OMG!!!It was 84* here today, but the weekend is predicted to be in the 40's with rain. At least the dogs don't seem to mind. They love the snow.
The snow was certainly a surprise after this weekend in MA too!
Adorable hats!
I know you are sick of snow, but the pups seem to enjoy it. :)
